Step-by-Step Method
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for finishing the frittata.
Prepare the Vegetables:
Rinse the Swiss chard under cold water and chop it coarsely, separating the stems from the leaves.
Dice the onion and bell pepper (if using) and mince the garlic.
Sauté the Vegetables:
In your oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
Add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until they are soft (about 5 minutes).
Stir in the Swiss chard stems and cook for another 2 minutes, then add the chopped leaves and garlic. Cook until wilted (about 3-4 minutes).
Whisk the Eggs: In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper, and stir in the grated cheese.
Combine and Cook:
Pour the egg mixture over the sautéed vegetables in the skillet. Gently stir to distribute the vegetables evenly.
Cook on the stovetop for about 5 minutes, or until the edges start to set.
Transfer to Oven:
Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the frittata is puffed up and fully set in the center.
Cool and Serve:
Remove the skillet from the oven and let the frittata cool for 5 minutes before slicing. It can be served warm or at room temperature.

Different Greens: Substitute Swiss chard with spinach, kale, or even mixed greens.
Cheese Options: Use feta for a tangy flavor, or mozzarella for a milder taste.
