Step-by-Step Instructions
Prepare Your Ingredients
Wash and chop your herbs and any additional vegetables you want to include. Set them aside.
Whisk the Eggs
In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until they are fully combined. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the Onions
In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add Vegetables and Herbs
If you're using vegetables, add them to the pan and cook for another 3-5 minutes until tender. Then, add the chopped herbs and stir for another minute.
Combine the Mixture
Pour the whisked eggs over the sautéed vegetables and herbs. Gently stir with a spatula to ensure even distribution.
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly on top of the egg mixture.
Cook on the Stovetop
Cook the frittata on the stovetop for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges begin to set.
Finish in the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the frying pan to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes, or until the frittata is puffed and set in the center.
Cool and Serve
Remove the frittata from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Slice into wedges and serve warm or at room temperature.
